Concept sketches for Catherine prior to her Linton wedding. It was important to me that a clear visual contrast is communicated before and after she is married. In this scene, her colours are bright, freckled, flushed - warm tones. Once married she is heavily blue - a colour used in both British and Asian folklore to represent the supernatural.
